We traveled to San Diego to do an escape room tour and came here because of the amazing reviews. Unfortunately on the way there, someone was going to jump off the bridge onto a highway so the police shut down the highway. It took over an hour to get there. Our booking was at 5pm and we arrived at 5:20pm. They were very strict with the time and cut our time down. They did accommodate us a bit by letting us go until 6:15pm (45 mins of game time) but the next booking was at 7pm. I was quite upset since this was the first time the game masters were so unaccommodating about giving us the time when there clearly was enough time to give us the full 60mins and still have time to reset the game. Afterwards, the two game masters kicked us out cause they had to close the lobby when they reset the room. They then had enough time to stand around for 30 mins before the next team game. The room itself was amazing and I had a lot of fun. I understand they're doing their job but service is part of the experience and the human factor matters.
My partner, friends, and I all loved experiencing both escape rooms at Mind Fox. Highly recommended for both novice and experienced escapers! Isabella is a great game master, and everyone here is so friendly. Can't wait for their new room to open in the new year!! :)

We solved the black and white cafe escape room with just under8 minutes left! Isabella was great from checking us in, to giving us clues to getting a photo for us after. The place is clean. Before you began you must lock your belongings away. Then sit and watch a 2 minute safety video. The room was smaller than I thought but it was packed with puzzles and clues. Reminded me of S3 cafe in Grantville. To receive a clue, every one must raise their hands. The clues pop up on the tv screen. This was well thought out and some puzzles were independent of each other and some relied on each other. Overall, it was so much fun because I’m usually slow but I solved two! Level of difficulty would be beginners/easy.
We’ve done over 100 escape rooms all over the US and internationally as well. The Moriarity room makes our top ten list!! It kept us on our toes from start to finish. We didn’t use any hints and had 7 minutes to spare. We left extremely satisfied and excited to try out the other rooms there (we heard a new one is coming). A huge shout out to our fans master Isabella!! She was super friendly and enthusiastic.
We did the black and white cafe with a party of 3 and it was such a fun and exciting experience! We had one person that was new to escape rooms and he thought it was great for his first time. The puzzles were very well thought out and our gm Isabella was pretty attentive when we needed help. The puzzles were fairly straightforward as there wasn’t any confusion on which puzzle corresponded to which lock. The puzzles were also oriented in a way that the solution was very close by or right in front of it, which made it easier to solve the puzzles. The hints were just enough for us to solve it ourselves without directly giving us the answers. We will definitely do Moriarty’s Manor in the future! Thank you Isabella for being such a wonderful gm and making our experience memorable!
