Update…My wife and I came here again in December 2025 we talked with Ben. He was freaking awesome. He kept us entertained for quite a while. He definitely knew his stuff about guns. I was gonna get a Derringer from him and he’d walk me through everything that I possibly needed to know, I ended up buying a nice shotgun from him because I had one in mind, but he upgraded me and showed me a better one, very awesome guy. My wife and I laughed for quite some time with him. He was well informed, and we even went and saw him the very next day cause I was gonna buy something else from him, but unfortunately, it was not in stock if you ever need any information or a great opinion I guarantee you you will get the information and great communication and comedy that you need. Great guy, and a great place, will shop there again definitely😁 This place is AWESOMELY AMAZING!!! I love the ranges for each weapon, and they even have a Blacksmith! This place has two levels and it’s like being a kid in a candy store, HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place. I had a question about some particular ammo and guns, and Marvin took his time with us and just gave my wife and I so much knowledge and history, It was VERY COOL just hearing him talk
My husband and I love going to the range and playing games to see who is a better shot with our various pistols. We'll give one another a section on a target with 5-10 bullets in a magazine to work with from 7-10 yards away, depending on the caliber. Loser buys dinner. We also enjoy practicing with our carry pieces so we can stay sharp in the event of an emergency. We both prefer the Villages location over the Orlando location because the staff is a little more relaxed. Some of the guys in Orlando can be jerks and talk down to customers whereas the older gentleman at the Villages are more inviting and cordial with shoppers. They also don't chastise you for drinking water against the wall, away from the lanes. I understand they're trying to prevent potential spills but they could be less hostile about it because I'm not a toddler. I know how to drink from a variety of vessels whilst maintaining full control of them. I had a guy in Orlando scream at me like I'd just released a battalion of squirrels in the range. There's no need for that kind of hostility. You CAN say things politely to others. So I suggest all go to the Villages instead of Orlando where quenching your thirst isn't viewed as threat, in those dry ass range rooms and staff are more delightful to converse with. There's generally plenty of parking available at both locations. My main complaint about both stores is that they never have any Beretta's in stock! Smaller, local gun stores have plenty but Shooter's World never has any new ones. I understand that they're imported but I want to expand my Beretta collection and they never have any of the guns they display in the circle of guns in stock. If you never have a particular gun brand or model in stock, stop displaying them like you do. (They also display several Kimber, Walther and Sig's that they never have in stock.) There are a variety of rules for the ranges, like wearing safety glasses and earplugs but also clothing. Also, you can't shoot in slides, flip-flops or sandals. You must wear closed toe shoes and you can't be in a tank top or sleeveless shirt. I don't believe crop tops are allowed either. I personally don't care if a casing were to pop back and burn my arm, or wherever it lands, I'm used to it, but it's a big deal to them because people have jumped and unsafely fired off a round. It's also very cold in the rooms so make sure you dress properly. Also, don't open the range doors if the light is red; wait until it's green. You have to sign a waiver and watch a safety video on a tablet before you can get a shooters card and be permitted to shoot. It costs $10 and you can renew it every year, so don't throw it out if you plan to come back.

First time yesterday at the Orlando Shooters World on Kirkman. My son is an avid shooter and visiting from out west and wanted to check it out. You only get one chance to make a first impression!! I won't say lousy customer service..... it was NO customer service. Long line at New Member line (first timers). One attendant with such a thick accent it was difficult to understand him. What I did hear from him was a total lack of gun knowledge and experience. Told us we needed to fill out waiver form by the front door and then come back and get at the end of the line that was moving like molasses white 4 other employees within spitting distance were having a wonderful BS session and couldn't be bothered to open the second registrar at that desk. We left and went down the street to OGC, which was a wonderful experience and definitely less money. Will not only never go back to Shooters World but will pass along to my shooting community that it is a miserable experience.
First of all, I NEVER give reviews. However, I want to take this Veteran’s Day to shout out an amazing Shooter’s World Instructor and Veteran, Chris! My bestie wanted to shoot guns for the first time for her birthday. Chris was patient, knowledgeable, explained the different guns, and curated a a custom shooting experience for us. We started with 9 mm handguns, then moved to an automatic riffle and finished with a 35-lb sniper riffle. We had to go upstairs to the 100 yard range to shoot the sniper riffle. We had the whole upstairs and range to ourselves. Chris shared with us that he routinely shot the same types of guns while in the military. We took a ton of pictures. We felt safe the entire. I highly recommend Chris (from Puerto Rico) as an instructor!
