I recently visited Sandbox VR | Westfield London with my family, located inside Toca Social Westfield London, and the experience exceeded expectations. This is immersive entertainment done well. From the moment you arrive, the focus is clear. Total immersion, strong social interaction, and high production quality.
The check-in process was smooth and well organised. Duke and Pooja explained the experience clearly and kept everything moving on time. You are kitted out with a VR headset, body sensors, and haptic gear. This setup tracks your full body movement. It means your actions in the real world match what happens in the virtual one. Walking, turning, crouching, and reacting all feel natural.
The play space is large and uncluttered. You move freely with your group, which makes the experience feel shared rather than isolated. Groups of up to six people play together. This works well for families and groups of friends. Communication and teamwork matter. You rely on each other to succeed.
The kids chose the Squid Game Virtuals experience, inspired by the Netflix series Squid Game. This is Sandbox VR’s most social game, and it shows.
You are dropped into recognisable locations from the show and compete across several games. Red Light, Green Light is tense and physical. Crossing the Glass Bridge adds pressure and decision-making. There are also new games designed to surprise you and test your reactions.

Such a fun experience for my child! My son attended a birthday party here, and he couldn’t stop talking about how incredible the game was. Ahlam was our lovely host, so kind and helpful while getting all the boys set up. Even though it was a busy Saturday with just her and one other coworker, they both did an amazing job keeping up with all the excited kids running around. We were really impressed with the experience and the staff.
booked this experience for a birthday and it absolutely surpassed my expectations, it’s one of the most memorable activities I’ve ever done to date! The VR was super realistic and out of this world. I 100% recommend. The staff were super friendly and helpful (shout out to Duke for being amazing throughout). You even get a fun video at the end to relive the whole thing. If you’re new to VR or not really into shooting games, I highly recommend starting with Squid Games, it was so engaging, easy to enjoy, and perfect for first-timers. All in all, an unforgettable experience. I’ll definitely be back!
