Honestly, this was the worst Clay Pigeon Shooting experience I have ever had. Was a birthday present for my husband and it was all over in 26 minutes. There was no real interaction or any tuition in the slightest. Just here's the gun there's the Clay, basically to just get through it as quickly as possible, did not make it very enjoyable. Alot of money for not even half an hour on site. Will not be booking here ever again. Felt like it was run by a conveyor belt. Spoilt the whole event for us.
We had an excellent day out clay pigeon shooting for a birthday gift. A very effective & patient instructor in Richard. It’s the first time me and my wife had picked up a gun and the adrenaline was pumping! It was great fun and would defiantly recommend.

Do not book with The Big Shoot. The people on the phone are beyond rude. We arranged a booking 7 days prior to the day we wanted to attend for my partners birthday. We ended up in A&E that night as he had severe back pain and unable to walk. This is now an ongoing issue with multiple hospital appointments over the next few months and is unable to use the gift at the moment. We rang The Big Shoot - (Josh and Michael in particular were disgusting to speak to) and we were told we couldn't rearrange or cancel the booking as were not in the 31 day window. Even though we booked it when we were out of that window and were giving them 5 days notice to rearrange the booking. We then had to pay an extra £20 to use it within 3 months. Firstly, the additional £20 is totally not needed, secondly, with how vile they were on the phone, it hasn't made for an enjoyable experience to look forward to. My partner is still unable to visit the venue (3 weeks after we were supposed to go) and isn't going to be mobile for the foreseeable due to pain. We then rang them (spoke to Michael) and he was even ruder than Josh, and told my partner that he could sit in a wheelchair to do the shooting. I'm not sure why he thinks that this is an appropriate comment? Outrageous. Michael then went on to say we could book it any time, not within the 3 months, then changed his mind and then said we'd need to pay a further £20. Are they pocketing this individually??! We simply wanted to ask if we could move the booking to sometime next year or have a voucher, once my partner was mobile and not bed bound. I completely understand that companies have to have policies and procedures in place, so that they don't lose money on cancellations. However, there were plenty of other spaces available to book for that day, and given the circumstances and health & safety, you'd expect some compassion and understanding. Especially when we only wanted to have a voucher to use on alternative date. What's even more upsetting about the situation, is that Otley Clay Pigeon and Chevin Forest Park is probably individually owned by a lovely family, who provide a great experience. It's a shame that they are a franchise of The Big Shoot. Please read other reviews about The Big Shoot before considering booking. It's not worth how you're spoken to. Very disappointing.
Both guys were great at coaching newbies and were really good laughs. Our stag had a great time and would thoroughly recommend.
Absolutely amazing, from the staff to the actual shooting. What a wonderf day out. I have arranged for a larger group to go later in the year. Great experience for both men and women would definitely recommend.
